Responsibilities
As a mechanical design intern at J.W. Speaker, you will be immersed in all of the action, working alongside our experienced mechanical designers. Our interns have a very hands on experience with tasks ranging from designing and assembling fixtures, updating drawings and documentation, creating 3D models from existing 2D CAD, attending pilot builds, and much more. Our ideal candidate is going to work part-time hours (15-20 hrs / week) during the school year and transition to full-time hours in the summer.
Qualifications
- Must be working towards a mechanical design degree at an accredited technical college or university
- All school years are encouraged to apply!
Hiring Process
Please apply online by September 1, 2024. The Campus Recruiting team reviews resumes on a rolling basis. The internship hiring process consists of two interviews. Typically, the first interview is conducted at your technical college or university campus or over the phone. The second interview is at the J.W. Speaker corporate headquarters in Germantown, WI. All candidates will be notified of hiring decisions via e-mail or phone and validated with a formal offer letter around September 16, 2024. Occasionally, we may receive requests for interns after this date and will reach out to those interns who best fit our new hiring needs.
