As an employee of Shipping/Receiving you will perform responsibilities within your department. This will include ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are conducted in a safe manner, with a focus on producing quality product within the time required by our customers. You will earn an hourly rate from $17.50-18.50. We offer low-cost medical, dental and vision benefits as well as a company matched 401K plan, life insurance, and flexible spending plans. Projects are related to the improvement of product quality, manufacturing processes consistency, efficiency and throughput, operating systems, and lean manufacturing.
Walk-In Applicants are welcome daily from 8AM-4PM.
Shipping/Receiving Employee:
· Operate in accordance with all safety and quality policies and procedures
· Meet or exceed demonstrated job functions
· Aide production associates with supplying lines for feedstock and production materials as measured by waiting “Q” time
· Must weigh and tag scrap boxes at the end of every shift. Replace the box with a new empty box
· Backup lines with correct feedstock per Method Masters
· Maintain feedstock/reel storage areas
· Prepare materials for incoming and outgoing shipping
· Arrange for product transportation
· Maintain accurate records of all shipping data after verifying its contents.
· Proper storage using signage/inventory lanes utilizing First In First Out (FIFO) method
· Safely operate fork truck/pallet jack
· Move reels without damaging them or the product
· Able to recognize different reel sizes
· Differentiate between different types of wire
· Complete fork truck safety checklist daily
· Must be able to visually inspect incoming/outgoing wire
· Able to tag in reels of wire
· Able to read and utilize information on Method Master
· Able to enter data into Company Computer
Teamwork:
- Daily communication with supervisor, operators, and other shifts to ensure operational objectives are met
- Comply with lean manufacturing initiatives within department
- Provide continuous improvement ideas for Safety, On-Time Delivery, Quality, Cost Reduction and Efficiency
- Support and comply with company policies and procedures as applicable.

Qualifications and Skills of a Shipping/Receiving Employee
- Ability to manage time sensitive tasks
- Fork lift certification
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent work record, including safety, quality and attendance
- Positive Attitude
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is regularly required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
