ThinkBIG Technician Intern – Construction Equipment
JOB PROFILE
The ThinkBIG Technician position is highly competitive technician training program. Potential students in the program must meet several entrance requirements and be willing to attend school in Americus, Georgia at South Georgia Technical College. The program is set up whereas a student will split each school semester in half with the first 8-week term spent in the classroom and the second 8-week term at the host store, working with one of Stowers Machinery's ThinkBIG Mentors. Along with classroom responsibilities, each ThinkBIG Technician is responsible for set up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and installation of replacement parts on Caterpillar diesel powered construction equipment. This is a paid internship technician position working largely with guidance from service technicians.
After you finish the program, we will reimburse your program expenses in full (less payroll taxes on non-tuition expenses) – based on how well you perform in the classroom and during your internships – if you work at Stowers Machinery as a service technician for just two years.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The ThinkBIG Technician should be able to learn to read and interpret technical instruction, service and safety manuals, company policies and procedures, work with mechanical, hydraulic and electric/electronic schematics and wiring diagrams, and demonstrate proficiency in the use of test equipment. The position is responsible for high quality academic standings, maintaining a high quality of morals, and sending reports in a timely manner, thus ensuring maximum value for work performed.
