Job Summary

Responsible for development, coordination and supervision of all aspects of DDDS funded services (Follow Along & Senior Program), DVR services (Supported Employment, Job Placement and, Work Adjustment/ Vocational Training program, Community-based Hospitality Training program). This position provides supervision and support to staff at all Employment Services Staff as well as, support to other Delaware Regional Office programs when needed.

Primary Duties

  • As assigned by Employment Services Director, oversees all Employment Services programs operating out of various sites throughout the Delaware region
  • Supervise assigned staff to ensure their duties and responsibilities are completed. Hire, train, and evaluate assigned staff and perform the duties as assigned by the Manager in his/her absence. May resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Ensure that budget and contractual standards are met.
  • Liaison with funding sources meeting regularly to ensure contractual obligation are met and Participate in outside groups as necessary to support programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all staff are registered for training necessary to meet contractual obligations. Also, facilitate general staff development, registering staff for training that is related to their jobs.
  • Assist in developing outcome management tool and collect statistics needed to maintain outcomes systems. Ensure that individuals who have completed Delaware Regional Office programs, are regular employees at Delaware Regional Office, or are in a job in the community have access to case management and support services.
  • Ensure completion of customer satisfaction surveys, annually at a minimum, inclusive of consumer, families, funders and employers.
  • Ensure training & utilization of Therapy, consumer database, Workday and Expense Systems.
  • Develop and implement programs that support the mission of Delaware Regional Office.
  • Maintain program policies and procedures, ensuring that the necessary changes are made.
  • Maintain procedures in accordance with the latest standards established by the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
  • Act as a facilitator for DDDS annual reviews.
  • Prepare for and participate in DVR annual reviews. Maintain all standards and reporting.
  • Is an active member of the Delaware Regional Office Management team, Employment Services team, and other cross-functional agency teams.

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required; degree concentration in Behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
  • Experience in employment service management and working with individuals with a disability and/or special needs preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record (MVR) required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work with people internally and externally at all levels of an organization.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to become familiar with corporate specific programs and software.   
  • Candidates must be committed to consumer empowerment and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent oral/verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
