PR and Fund Development Specialist

Summary:

As our PR and Fund Development Specialist, you will assist the agency with overall donor, business and partner cultivation and fund development.  Assist with the development and implementation of all activities related to public relations & fund development including donor cultivation and stewardship, community relations, fundraising and special events. Build awareness of ODC's mission in the community to maximize financial support for ODC.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Essential Functions:  

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with donors, prospective donors, staff, volunteers, public/government officials, community members, organizations and businesses (current and potential employers) through good cultivation and stewardship practices.
• Assist businesses in understanding partnership opportunities with ODC (volunteer, employment opportunities, Ink Splash, and other business)
• Maintain a strong understanding of all ODC's programs, strategic direction and initiatives in order to communicate to the community and prospective partners in written and verbal communications.
• Plan and manage a variety of PR & fund development events.  Plan, execute, promote and secure sponsorships.
• Coordinate and conduct tours and/or presentations to community organizations, businesses and the general public.
• Research potential sources of donations and grant money. Prepare literature and grant proposals.
• Produce a variety of ODC publications including newsletters, annual reports, program and social enterprise fliers, event materials, PowerPoint presentations, press releases and other ODC promotional materials consistent with the ODC brand image.
• Promote ODC through website blogs, social media posts, email blasts and mailings.
• Assist with updating and monitoring ODC’s website.
• Assist with graphic design that is consistent with the ODC brand image.
• Understand and utilize ODC’s donor database.
