This is a full-time, ‘Technical Cleaner’ who will specialize in the maintenance and cleaning of Cleanrooms. A successful candidate will be able to ‘safely ensure’ a variety of custodial and cleaning duties are done properly and follow ISO Quality Standards to produce optical components. Their primary role consists of maintaining the cleanliness of VIAVI ISO 7 cleanroom areas. In addition, the technical cleaner will clean and maintain office areas, restrooms, conference rooms, Labs, and common areas, along with supporting Facilities Management in a variety of monitoring and maintenance activities. Duties & Responsibilities: Job Duties/Responsibilities: Safe cleaning and maintenance of: Cleanroom areas to control particulate contamination. Laboratory and equipment areas. shipping and receiving areas. office, cafeteria, restroom, and common areas such as conference rooms and lobby. Assist Facilities Management in light-duty maintenance and monitoring functions. Assist in monitoring and stocking of various production supplies. Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Requirements: Work safely following all VIAVI’s safety policies and Behavior Based Safety (BBS) practices. Prior Cleanroom cleaning experience and training are strongly desired. Familiarity with Safety-Data-Sheets (SDS) is strongly desired. Ability to gown and wear proper PPE for most of the shift following gowning procedures. Most of the time is spent in the cleanroom, fully gowned, including a head covering, facemask, gloves, safety glasses, and veil. No make-up, nail polish, and/or jewelry may be worn in the cleanroom areas. Able to wear appropriate respirator PPE. Hands-on experience with facility cleaning is also preferred. Able to use Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Able to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. Able to speak, read, and write fluent English. Follow written work instructions. Ability to occasionally lift to 45 lbs. High School diploma or equivalent desired.
