Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks General Dermatology APP in Macedonia, OH

Optima Dermatology is recruiting for an experienced general dermatology Advanced Practitioner to join our growing dermatology and medical aesthetics group in Macedonia, OH. Optima’s Macedonia location provides a broad scope of medical and cosmetic dermatology services. We are rapidly growing and expanding into a new, state-of-the-art facility. We will have the latest technologies and equipment, including best-in-class lasers and devices, in our practice. You will be supported by exceptional practice managers, clinical support staff, and powerhouse back-office teams, allowing you to focus your time on providing excellent patient care. A full-time board-certified dermatologist will supervise this position.

 Responsibilities:

• Build and retain relationships with patients by treating every patient the way you’d want your friends and family to be treated
• Provide outstanding dermatology care to patients with a wide variety of skin care needs
• Determine appropriate course of treatment through listening to patient concerns and conducting physical examinations and biopsies
• Educate patients about their skin conditions, treatments, medications, and best practices for skin cancer prevention
• Develop expert knowledge of skin ailments, treatments, and products through shadowing providers, attending trainings, and seeking learning opportunities
• Frequently consult with physicians on appropriate treatments and protocols
• Refer patients to Mohs surgeon or other providers as needed
• Prescribe medications as necessary
• Record medical information and data in the practice’s medical records system
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Fill in for other providers or float to other locations when needed

• Passion for helping patients and providing excellent care
• Communicate with professionalism, honesty, and kindness
• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Ohio
