The Painting position will be responsible for completing painting & drywall repair in vacant units as well as general/common areas throughout the property. Various maintenance functions throughout the property. This individual must be ambitious and possess a competent/cooperative demeanor as a representative of Optima. The role reports to the Service Supervisor.
What You'll Do
Have general knowledge and ability to apply various types of paints to both interior and exterior
Complete the required painting for vacant turns and general interior hallway/common areas of the buildings.
Complete precision, high quality drywall repairs
Administer regular inspections and proactively address problems or repairs for needed painting and drywall repair
Respond to and assist with specific requests from property managers and/or residents
Communication regarding a project’s status
Record and maintain appropriate reports/files on a regular and proficient basis
Interface with residents, property managers and leasing staff
What You'll Need
Demonstrate and possess a high degree of integrity

Painting experience essential
Drywall repair experience essential
Warm friendly and a service orientated philosophy
General knowledge of or exposure to construction
Possession of a current and valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is mandatory
Physical capacity to lift 100 lbs., including lifting and moving packages
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Multi-task oriented
Possess an outgoing and positive attitude with strong organizational skills
Aptitude to work efficiently and independently
Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and on-time work ethic
Required to work Sunday through Thursday
Pay range $19-$22/hr.
