The Wire Harness Technician is the functional expert responsible for various functions to ensure wire harness production processes run safely, efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities for Wire Harness Technician

  • Read engineering prints and interpret
  • Use measuring tools such as, but not limed to: digital protector, tape measure and digital calipers
  • Wire harness expertise - will use mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills to make harnesses, diagnose errors/repairs, installing harnesses
  • Assembly work: using hand tools, socket wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers
  • Precise attention to detail and importance of a sense of urgency
  • Shop organization and assembly line modifications
  • Keeping work area clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications for Wire Harness Technician

  • 2-3 years' experience in assembly or manufacturing or wire harnesses for vehicles
  • Previous experience working in a specialty vehicle manufacturer, EV experience a plus.
  • Experience lean manufacturing and process improvement a plus
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to get along with others
  • Good attendance
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment a plus
