Behavioral Health Technician

Come join our team as a Behavioral Health Associate, at Options Behavioral Health! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about behavioral health. We are a short term inpatient facility, our facility has 6 units that cater to adolescents and adults struggling with mental and behavioral health, we also have a detox unit for those in the first week of detox. You will spend your shift with the patients as they go through their schedule, interacting and observing while making sure the patients are safe.

At Options Behavioral Health we specialize in working with adolescents experiencing Mental Health and Behavioral Health Issues.

Experience working in an in-patient setting required.

• Shift Available: 1st, 7am-3pm, or 2nd 3pm-11pm
• Shift differentials

Behavioral Health Associate responsibilities:

• · Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• · Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted at 15 minute intervals.
• · Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical record.
• · Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• · Engage patients in interactions, group therapy and activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals and increase therapeutic coping skills.
• · Complete and maintain required documentation. Complete paperwork as required on incidents and events that may take place on the unit.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 21 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a background check with no felonies.
• 1 year in Inpatient setting preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
