Position : Warehouse Worker
Location : Hicksville, New York 11802
Duration : 3 Months and 5 Months
Shift : Mon – Fri (7am-3:30pm) and (3:30pm - 1:30am, some Saturdays (3:30pm - 12am)
Job Description:
· The Line Associate is responsible for taking direction from the supervisor in order to meet production demands while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Essential Functions:
· Monitoring continuously for clear code printing and seal deficiency
· Assuring neatness of completed pallets, Inform Supervisors and or Lead of any discrepancy on product information
· Transferring carts of production in and out of chillers and placing them orderly at the WIP area
· Flipping two and four pound trays in chillers when needed
· Reworking product that is below specifications
· Keeping work area clean and organized
· Promoting a safe work environment at all times
· Follow HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices.
· Comply with Food and Personal safety Procedures, company Policies and regulations. Other duties, as assigned including transferring to Kitchen area as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Traits:
· Bilingual Spanish is a plus, Prior food industry knowledge, Ability to work in a 38˚ F- 40˚ F degree environment, Ability to comprehend Production Schedule.
Equipment Used:
· Variety of food processing equipment.
Physical Demands:
· Standing-Entire shift, Lifting up to 50 lbs.-Regularly, Working in hot/cold temperatures-Entire shift, Noise typical of a production environment-Entire shift Required-Steel Toed Shoes.
· Due to onsite safety all candidates must fluent and able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
