Primary Responsibility:
- Duties primarily consist of performing product and process sudits, performing internal ISO audits, maintenance of ISO system, issuing internal corrective actions, logging customer complaints, completing calibration on internally used gauges and equipment as well as updating our gauge surveillance system.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Following management guidelines, performs final inspection for quality, appearance and performance of complicated products, or of diversified parts and assemblies.
- Performs internal ISO audits as well as process/product related audits.
- Maintains ISO system and ensures conformance to document retention guidelines for quality related ISO documents.
- Logs customer complaints.
- Generate and post quality metrics data for production cells.
- Issue internal corrective actions and drive to closure.
- Performs gauge calibration, labels gauges, and maintains gauge surveillance system.
- May be required to devise unusual measuring or gauging set-ups.
- Evaluation and processing of customer returns.
- Generation of FAI reports for in house produced parts and procured parts.
- Log test results and QC records.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good problem solving skills is preferred.
- Proficient in using measuring tools consisting of calipers, height gages, radius gages, micrometers, scales, surface plates, depth gages, hole gages, pin gages, etc
- Good computer skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to work professionally with shop personnel, customer service, and office personnel.
Degree/Experience Requirements:
- AAS degree in a related field or 3 years minimum experience in quality or similar manufacturing role.
- An understanding of metal fabrication operations such as CNC machining is required.
- CMM and optical comparator training preferred.
