Position Responsibilities:

• Performing opening duties including unlocking doors, preparing overnight ER patient charts, and printing daily appointment lists
• Greeting patients and making them feel welcome in our clinic
• Accurately updating patient demographics
• Updating and verifying insurance eligibility
• Collecting payments and copayments; performs daily cash box reconciliation
• Directing or assisting patients in completing appropriate paperwork
• Checking out patients and scheduling follow-up appointments when necessary
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred
• Previous customer service experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
• Must have flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
• Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed
