Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities
It is expected that the successful candidate have a good working knowledge of Java ( primary language) , Object Oriented Design and programming , Linux shell environment and basic SQL skills ( with no particular preference to a database engine though Oracle would be preferable ) . They should posses a desire to learn new technology and skills, and be able to adapt to our fast moving environment as quickly as possible.
The role requires that the candidate work from home, within a globally disparate team environment.
Within the role the candidate with be exposed to cloud technologies, backend services ( from design through to implementation ) and front end design. They will assist the senior developers in producing and supporting enhancements, from designs inception to full production release.
The candidate will have to interact with various management levels and as such posses good communication and interaction skills.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $87,300 to $170,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $65,400 to $153,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $82,500 to $161,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Washington Pay Range: from $90,700 to $161,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
