Manages employees who perform project management duties which involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of internal products or administrative systems. Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfaces with internal customers or department personnel. Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings. Ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills and analytical skills. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of project management or related experience needed.
As a Lead Program Manager on the VA learning team you will lead strategy and ownership of highly complex, cross-functional programs as well as lead resources which may include people, data, processes and financial investments. In scope for this role will be to lead cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders to establish vision, objectives, and program strategy. You will lead cross-functional process and program improvement efforts and set and manage the financial plan for program.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 10 years of total combined completed higher education and related work experience including:
At least 3 year of project/program management work experience
At least 7 years of completed higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
PMP certified (project management professional)
Healthcare IT experience
Expectations:
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location; preferred location Kansas City
Must be willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
