Aegis Health Care is searching for a Reimbursement Coordinator to join our medical billing team. We have agencies in Utah, Arizona, and Alaska and do billing for multiple business lines in the post-acute market. This job can be done remotely from your home or at the local office, whichever you prefer. If you don't have billing or health are experience, don't worry! IF you are detail oriented, a self-starter, and eager to learn, we are willing to teach and train.
The Reimbursement Coordinator is responsible for managing patient accounts including submitting claims and collecting payments.
Responsibilities Include:
- Complete billing tasks daily; including submitting claims and following up on unpaid claims
- Research, correct, and resubmit rejected, denied, and returned claims timely
- Prepare appeals to denied claims
- Assist intake staff with insurance questions and research
- Submit patient Medical Records request as needed
- Maintain a claims report. Report on status frequently to supervisor and administration.
- Work with billing team to resolve common issues and insurance denial trends
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Competency with computers, including advanced typing skills and ability to learn several new computer programs
- Prefer two years of medical claims and/or accounts receivable or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Teachable
- A self-starter

- Well organized and detail oriented
- Know and obey privacy laws
- Ability to celebrate loudly when a denied claim you've been working on finally pays!
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid state driver license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
