Principal Devops Architect

Responsibilites

• You will provide technical leadership for the evolving architectural capabilities of system solutions, including software Apps, Ecommerce applications, infrastructure, design on modern app architectures and test automation.
• Lead the definition and high-level design of the solutions and the exploration of alternatives.
• Assist Agile teams for creating the correct system architecture and advise them on the capabilities which can be ascertained
• Plan and develop the Architectural Roadmap to support future features, capabilities, and technologies.
• Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy.
• Work closely with the Architectural organization and Agile Teams to create a system engineering network and provide oversight to foster Built-In Quality and Technical Agility across the organization.
• Provide guidance to developers and engineers on system and sub-system architecture design, development, characterization, integration, and verification activities.
• Work with Agile Teams to establish high-level solution intent and documentation requirements.
• Identify and create best practice methods, techniques and technologies that continually improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency in development processes and operations.
• Support Agile Teams by providing, communicating, and evolving the broader technology and architectural view of the solution.
• Work with program and product management to explore, develop, analyze, and split the implementation of technological enablers (infrastructure and test automation), working directly with Agile teams on their implementation.
• Excellent understanding of Oracle database and assist in database design ( nice to have )
• Collaborate with Product and Program Management to determine the capacity allocation for enablement work. Participate in Program Planning, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) events.
• Actively participate in the Continuous Exploration process as part of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, especially with enablers.
• Support definition of subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context.
• Subject Matter Expert in the structural/architectural disciplines. Participate in internal, cross-functional teams to develop and align procedures and standards.
• Generate system architecture documentation and review/approve software architecture and subsystem architectures and their documentation.
  

What are we looking for?

• You have at least 5 years of experience in systems architect and in total 10 years working in Software development / Systems field with a demonstrated track record in delivering high-quality system solutions
• You have experience working in broad, multi-disciplinary teams, including in-depth expertise in designing and documenting complex critical solutions, including test-driven development, agile principles, modular system architecture, and continuous integration.
• You have excellent understanding of development in a secure / PCI environment
• You have experience in requirements management software and its interfaces to other project management software.
• You like to work in a matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
