Provide outstanding professional clinical care on an as needed basis to members through everyday nursing care and via phone triage.

Treat acute, chronic and complex disease management and promote wellness and illness prevention through direct member care for all ages as directed by a provider within the scope of licensureTake member vitals, input member symptoms into an electronic medical records, collect laboratory specimens and administer immunization/shots within the scope of licensureCommunicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of acute, chronic and progressive disease processesPrepare equipment, members and physician for office base procedures and testingSchedule follow up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing and obtain member records to ensure the continuity of careFollow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment

Oracle Oracle Cerner is currently seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for an onsite employer health center in Ledyard, CT.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will treat acute, chronic, and complex disease management and promote wellness and illness prevention through direct member care for all ages as directed by a provider within the scope of licensure. You will take member vitals, input member symptoms into an electronic medical record, collect laboratory specimens and administer immunization/shots within the scope of licensure. You will also communicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of acute, chronic, and progressive disease processes, prepare equipment, members and physician for office base procedures and testing and schedule follow up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing and obtain member records to ensure the continuity of care. Lastly, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment. Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year direct patient care work experience
    • At least 3 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Associate's degree in Nursing, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Registered Nurse License - State Board
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Multiple Issuers
  • At least 1 year experience as an RN in Occupational Health
Expectations
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
