Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
As a Solution Designer you will document functional requirements and risk analysis using solution management tools and processes. You will use epics, features, solution vision and market needs to write user stories and requirements into clear, workable solution and risk control requirements. You will support development team in planning and estimating resource needs and prioritize backlog to support product roadmap according to business value. As a member of this team, you will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keep them informed and engaged throughout project lifecycles. Finally, you will be responsible for leading and owning discussions between development team, subject matter experts, internal users or client-facing teams to clarify user stories, track issues or resolve problems.
Basic Qualifications
At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
At least 1 year product design, product testing, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other HCIT solution work experience
At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of Software Design, Product Management, Revenue Cycle, Patient Accounting, Insurance Billing, Patient Billing, UX, UI work experience
Expectations
Must reside in or around the Kansas City area
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
