Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate On Call Hospice Nurse to provide weekend and evening on-call coverage for our patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospice or palliative care, possess strong clinical skills, be adept at communicating over the phone, and demonstrate empathy and compassion in their interactions with patients and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care and support to hospice patients and families during weekend on-call shifts.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical needs.
  • Manage and alleviate pain and symptoms through appropriate interventions and medication management.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding disease process, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and therapists.
  • Respond to patient and family needs promptly and effectively, including after-hours emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Experience in hospice care.
  • Korean speaking is a bonus.
  • Available to work weekend on-call shifts on a contract or per diem basis.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients' homes as needed.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Types: Contract, Per diem

Pay: $120.00 - $130.00 per day
