Responsibilities
Responsible for providing appropriate urgent and walk-in care to all patients that present for treatment at the appropriate office for this care including but not limited to broken bones and lacerations. Provides leadership, coordination and administration to this service line for Garnet Health. The Physician is a partner in an interdisciplinary team of primary care givers, specialty providers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest of standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Doctors, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Board Certified or Board Eligible, M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice in the State of New York possessing an unrestricted DEA certification while maintaining required staff membership at Orange Regional Medical Center
Minimum Education:
Degree of M.D. or D.O. with recognized Family Medicine residency by ABFM or the AOBFP or with recognized Emergency Medicine residency by ABEM or AOBEM or with recognized Medicine and Pediatrics residency programs by both the ABIM or AOBIM & the ABP or ABOP (three years minimum)
Minimum Experience:
Professional clinical experience in Urgent Care Practice in either Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine or combined Internal and Pediatric Medicine
Required Certification/Registration:
NYS Medical License, valid and unrestricted
Board Certification in Family Practice, Medicine and Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine or achieved within five (5) years of the completion of training, is required. Urgent Care Certification, preferred, within three (3) years of hire
BLS, ACLS & PALS certification required
DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted
New York State Education Department Approved Child Abuse Training Certification
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the practice of internal medicine or family medicine.
