The Lead Software Engineer will work with key stakeholders (business analyst, architect, QA analyst, and other technical resources) to deliver solutions. The individual needs to have a cross-system perspective of solutions that span multiple disciplines (Contract Lifecycle Management and Revenue Accounting). The Lead Software Engineer will focus on the following key responsibility areas: Solution Development, and Production Support while interacting with onshore and offshore development resources, vendors, professional service providers, and global business partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the current Adaptive Planning application and infrastructure architecture Solution.
- Work with current Implementation Partner to develop solutions to enhancements or bug fixes.
- Support system testing (QA / SIT / UAT / E2E / Performance).
Basic Qualifications:
- This role requires experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Workday Adaptive certification is required.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in highly complex systems. Excellent communication abilities - written and oral.
- Provide good estimates, and realistic implementation schedules for tasks, projects, and initiatives.
- Experience with Adaptive's REST APIs.
- Experience updating Adaptive's data model.
- Extensive knowledge of integrations and performance troubleshooting.
- A clear understanding of Workday concepts related to Level, Attributes, Dimensions, Sheets, and Accounts.
- Ability to design complex solutions with Adaptive Integrations.
- Experience with the performance impact of calculations caused by Cold and Warm cache.
- Experience with Git for source control.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins), and build tools like Maven/Ant.
- Broad background in web application architectures.
- Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Google Docs, SharePoint.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of forecasting, contract management, revenue accounting, licensing, and IT standards desired.
- Demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge of the concepts, capabilities, and integration of packaged software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication abilities - written and oral.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Provide good estimates and realistic implementation schedules for tasks, projects, and initiatives.
- Experience with Linux-based servers and investigate production incidents/logs.
- Financial industry background and Intellectual property licensing experience.
