What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Installation Technician position at ORBCOMM?
About the Role:
As a key member of the ORBCOMM Field Installation team, the Field Installation Technician, will report to the Field Installation Team Lead and will be responsible for day-to-day installation, training, and support of all ORBCOMM products. The Field Installation Tech will need to be highly familiar with all products to train new and existing customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the installation of all ORBCOMM products
- Vendor and customer install training
- In-Cab telematic installs
- Support new installation guides for newly released hardware
- Daily communication with team
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to teach, demonstrate, and instruct in a professional environment
- Attention to detail with strong fine and gross motor skills
- Technical background and video editing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Required Experience:
- 5 years’ experience as a trainer
- Experience with In-Cab and/or telematic systems
