We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to join our Operations team at ORBCOMM. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory projections/forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company’s growth and success by implementing effective inventory management strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Utilizing a data-driven approach, develop and implement inventory control procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify and address any discrepancies or shortages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, logistics, and production, to ensure seamless inventory management and supply chain operations.
• Optimize inventory turnover by analyzing historical data, forecasting demand, and implementing replenishment strategies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to track incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
• Generate/analyze reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and performance metrics for management review.
• Utilize internal/external software and tools (ERP, Salesforce, Agile PLM) to streamline processes and maintain real-time inventory visibility.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and tools, specifically ERP systems (J.D. Edwards Experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in recording and reporting inventory data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to inventory management.
