Calibration Specialist
Portsmouth, NH
ORBIS is currently accepting resumes for a Calibration Specialist to join our team in Portsmouth, NH.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate, schedule and participate in Consolidated Test Readiness Assessment (CTRA) and Calibration Requirement List (CRL) site validations
- Initiate feedback reports via the Navy Feedback Reporting program of record, based on Fleet and Lab input
- Track, and coordinate to completion outstanding CTRA actions
- Develop, update, maintain and distribute calibration training documents
- Provide training to Ships’ Force personnel
- Attend Calibration Laboratory Manager’s meetings
- Provide provisional studies, research, projects, metrics, presentations and reports
- Provide notification of potential personnel safety issues or potential hazards to systems/equipment that may result in damage or reduced mission capability, as uncovered as a result of related work.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance related programs with experience in the NAVY’s calibration program.
- Minimum of 10 years’ supervisory experience
- Associates level degree in an engineering discipline or significant Government, civilian, or military experience working as an engineer for submarine or ship maintenance or shipyard repair.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with the management and/or maintenance of SUBMEPP’s calibration program.
