Calibration Specialist

Portsmouth, NH

ORBIS is currently accepting resumes for a Calibration Specialist to join our team in Portsmouth, NH.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate, schedule and participate in Consolidated Test Readiness Assessment (CTRA) and Calibration Requirement List (CRL) site validations
  • Initiate feedback reports via the Navy Feedback Reporting program of record, based on Fleet and Lab input
  • Track, and coordinate to completion outstanding CTRA actions
  • Develop, update, maintain and distribute calibration training documents
  • Provide training to Ships’ Force personnel
  • Attend Calibration Laboratory Manager’s meetings
  • Provide provisional studies, research, projects, metrics, presentations and reports
  • Provide notification of potential personnel safety issues or potential hazards to systems/equipment that may result in damage or reduced mission capability, as uncovered as a result of related work.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance related programs with experience in the NAVY’s calibration program.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ supervisory experience
  • Associates level degree in an engineering discipline or significant Government, civilian, or military experience working as an engineer for submarine or ship maintenance or shipyard repair.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with the management and/or maintenance of SUBMEPP’s calibration program.
