What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro-Mechanical Assembler position at ORBIS INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC?
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Perform mechanical construction from prototypes and assembly.
- Assemble electrical / mechanical components to schematics and drawings.
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools and power tools per verbal and written instructions.
- Identify any mechanical or drawing errors and report back to Production Supervisor.
- Assemble parts per drawing and documentation
- Solder wiring to terminals, assemble wire cables and determine wire routing.
- Document any build changes or upgrades to the BOM or schematics.
- Interpret and understand system and equipment drawings and cable run sheets
- Assemble parts and pre prep wires which includes cutting wires to length, stripping and tagging.
- Install wire labels and device tags.
- Read and understand tape measures (Metric and Standard).
- Identify any wiring or drawing errors and report back to Production Supervisor.
- Perform torque and pull tests after each wire is crimped and installed.
- Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components.
- Update computers, SSU, PSU, Mains Unit, and Attenuator associated with systems.
- Conduct system test & troubleshooting in our facility to complete products using a multi-meter and power supply.
- Configuration management principles in building and maintaining systems, develop as-built drawings and documentation when changes are made.
- Test Specification Verification “FAT” quality inspection.
- Perform kit checklist.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Production Supervisor
Qualifications & Skills:
- Good mechanical skills
- Ability to use various hand and power tools
- Experience in soldering wires and connectors
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (preferred)
- Good manual dexterity and ability to read written instructions/directions
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required
- Must have creative thinking (think outside of the box)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and recline on a concrete floor for 8 hours and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
