We are seeking a Geospatial Programmer Analyst - someone with analytic curiosity and problem-solving skills, and experience with Python, GIS systems, Esri and open-source products, and general geospatial tradecraft. This person will support an R&D intelligence team that applies geospatial analysis and tradecraft to help solve our nation's most pressing Intelligence questions.

Key Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
Meet with the customer to understand and refine the requirements
Use Python to augment and analyze data
Recommend best practices for data storage and manipulation
Design and implement the customer's GIS platform with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise
Administer ArcGIS Enterprise in a cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Install and configure components of the ArcGIS Enterprise stack (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Web Adaptor)
Develop scripts to automate deployments, monitor services and derive usage metrics
Troubleshoot server outages and diagnose reported issues

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Skills/Abilities
US Citizenship
Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise
Experience with Python, including arcpy and portalpy
Preferred Skills/Abilities
Experience with Linux system administration
Experience in shell scripting
Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFormation)
Experience with Apache Tomcat
Knowledge of PKI and single sign-on processes
Familiarity with Open Geospatial Consortium Standards
Experience with Esri's Enterprise Server Architecture or willingness to learn
GIS and Raster Processing:
Understand the advance principles of GIS analysis and data processing
Understand raster processing and map algebra
Working knowledge of map projections
Spatial modeling
Familiarity with ESRI products and/or open source equivalents to include both desktop and server products
Understanding of geospatial data formats
Knowledge of modeling tools and statistical analysis tools
Basic understanding of IT systems such as Linux and Windows
Basic understanding of storage and networking infrastructure
Knowledge of databases both in the cloud and on premises
Understanding requirements to support security regulation processes and policies
Be able to communicate with IT professionals to solve common problems
Work with staff and IT professionals to troubleshoot problems
Software Development: Understanding of Python enough to interface with APIs, databases and applications
Fluency and source geospatial tools and data such as GDAL, Qgis, OSM, and Geopandas Provide technical leadership as needed to support government requests Support the use of PKI certificate
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position
3 years' experience geospatial support
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings
Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region
