ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Right of Way Relocation Agent to work on projects based out of the Austin, TX office. The selected candidate must reside in the Austin, TX area, and will have flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Agent should expect to travel locally and throughout the state as needed for the projects. Expenses and mileage reimbursed based on travel needs.

What you will be doing:
As the Agent, you will provide essential land acquisition and relocation assistance to displacees for federally funded projects throughout the right-of-way project lifecycle in support of the Project Manager (PM) or members of the project team.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing real estate documents and conducting basic property research for ownership and boundary information.
Effective communication with property owners and their representatives will be an important part of your role, since you will be acquiring right of way. You will also perform general administrative/clerical work as required, including preparing legal documents, attending meetings, entering and retrieving computer data, and providing customer service functions. As the first point of contact for customer complaints and issues, you will need to be an analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of Right of Way experience performing relocations
- Must include working with OR within the Texas Department of Transportation
- Experience utilizing the Uniform Relocation Act (URA)
- Active TREC License
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
- Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
- English language proficient
- Valid Driver’s License
Bonus points if you have an IRWA R/W-RAC and/or SR/WA certification!

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
