Department Overview

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. It is anticipated that the position will be made up of the following components: 80% Clinical FTE; 20% academic FTE.

This position reports to (supervisor): Arthur Hung, MD, Interim Chair, Department of Radiation Medicine.

Function/Duties of Position

The duties of this position include:

  • Serving as an attending physician at OHSU, Portland VAMC, Beaverton Knight Cancer Institute
  • Teaching medical students, house staff, and fellows
  • Attending OHSU weekly Chart Rounds (by conference call) & neuro-oncology tumor board
  • Attending quarterly M & M conference
  • Actively engaging in clinical practice as an employee of OHSU at OHSU Hospitals and Clinics (collectively, “Hospital” and, except as otherwise provided in this paragraph 7 of the “Clinician Employment Agreement,” not otherwise)
  • Complying with the bylaws, resolutions, policies and standards of OHSU in effect and as may be amended from time to time, including without limitation:
  • any compliance program or policy,
  • the OHSU Patient Care policy,
  • the OHSU Code of Conduct policy,
  • the OHSU Conflict of Interest policies,
  • all policies and requirements regarding the preparation and maintenance of medical records and the billing for patient services, and
  • OHSU Policy No. 03-30-060
  • Participating in and complying with the OHSU Faculty Practice Plan (“FPP”)
  • Maintaining a good standing license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon and any other jurisdiction where licensure is necessary in order for a Clinician to perform the professional services contemplated hereunder and to maintain medical staff privileges at the Hospital
  • Complying with:
  • all applicable laws and regulations relating to the practice of medicine and the billing of clinical services,
  • all standards and requirements of any applicable contract for patient care services,
  • all requirements of any lease of clinical space occupied or used by a Clinician;
  • the directives of the Department Chair; and
  • any additional terms and conditions of employment specifically contained in Exhibit A of the “Clinical Terms and Conditions” agreement
  • Participating in committees and performing administrative tasks as requested by, and to comply with the directives of, the FPP Board of Directors and the Department Chair.

Required Qualifications

Position Conditions/Qualifications: certification by the American Board of Radiology in therapeutic radiology is one of the prerequisites for extension of this appointment beyond one year.
