Activities Director
Job Posting for Activities Director at Oregon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center
We are seeking a full time Acitivities Director to plan, organize and direct a program of activies, which provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation and expression and fullfills basic psychological, social and spiritual needs, which will be available to all residents of the facility. Assists the physically, emotionally and cognitively impaired individual and family to explore appropriate avocation/leisure pursuits.

Minimum Qualifications
- Willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks
- Organized and detailed in work performance.
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
- Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
- Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
Sitting
1-2 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates frequently to walking.
Walking
5-7 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates frequently to standing and occasionally to sitting.
Standing
3-4 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternating frequently to walking and occasionally to sitting.
