The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is key to clinical success because they offer highly skilled and compassionate care for our specialized patient population. In this important role you will collaborate with coworkers and providers to ensure our patients receive personalized care during a very vulnerable and difficult time of their lives. You will assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse. The LPN contributes to patient assessment and the development of a care plan, implements aspects of care as directed, and participates in the ongoing evaluation of care.
Responsibilities include:
- Records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to the RN and/or MD/APP
- Administers medications, injections and vaccines as ordered by a licensed provider and within LPN scope of practice and OOS policy
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers, answers their questions, and appropriately refers their clinical care questions to the clinical care team
- Performs basic phlebotomy, IV insertion, accessing central venous catheters, and basic management of central venous catheter dressings in accordance with established OOS Policies and Procedures.
- Collects, handles, and labels specimens in accordance with established OOS Policies and Procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current LPN License in State of Oregon
- Basic Life Support certification within 2 months of hire
- Current proficiency in injections
- One year experience in an inpatient or outpatient clinic
- Must be fully vaccinated (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis in compliance with applicable law)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two year experience in a patient care setting
- Oncology experience helpful
- Ability to use an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Bilingual, Spanish

Pay: $25.68 - $35.77 per hour
