Organic: Senior Copywriter

The Role
As a Senior Copywriter, you are responsible for the conception and execution of high-quality, creative marketing and communications materials. You’ll become the gatekeeper of the client’s voice and tone and be expected to know how to adapt, rationalize, defend and approve work based on brand standards. You will work closely and collaboratively with designers, art directors and creative directors of all levels to develop innovative creative work for the client. You should be confident in your craft skills, meticulous in the details, and eager to learn new tools and techniques.
About You
You execute creative concepts that are on strategy across all media channels. You are the authority on brands from a voice and tone perspective. You work in both digital and traditional mediums as well as integrated and ambient environments. You generate breakthrough ideas and constantly strive for new, better, more innovative solutions. You create and build high-concept, revolutionary ideas. You must be able to push the accepted—internally and with clients. You serve as a “right-hand” to the Creative Director. You direct, collaborate and oversee more junior writers. You partner with different account managers across multiple lines of business. You manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery. You develop great work within guidelines and budget of the assignment. You work collaboratively with creative partners, members of creative and core departments. You sell work internally and to clients. You work with a variety of formats and materials to bring the concept to life. You stay current with changes in technology and demonstrate technical competence.
You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in a boundary-erasing advertising / marketing environment
- Supervisor/leadership experience a plus
- Must have a strong portfolio of real work
- Execution excellence—you don’t settle for mediocre
- Ability to handle more than one assignment at a time
- Ability to think strategically
- Clear & articulate team communication & relationship building
- Demonstrates an informed and thoughtful POV
