The Advisor , Business Banking Development, is responsible for the attraction and development of new business relations through the sale of USVI Commercial Banking Accounts, Commercial Loans, Cash Management Services and Merchant Services, among others specialized services. Implement effective strategies to support the acquisition of profitable customers and identifying their operation needs in order to advise and offer transactional services products. Conduct business within corporate policies & procedures and regulatory requirements. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Attract new customers thru the sale of financial institution commercial products and services, focused on the Professional and PYME’s market. Responsible for business sales goals achievement which consists of Commercial Deposits, Commercial Loans, Line of Credit, Business Credit Card, Cash Management, Merchant Services, Account Analysis, and other services (Paynet Plus, Vault services, lockbox, etc.). Sales effort include visit prospects and customers within the U.S.Virgin Islands Territory, participate in events, activities, and conventions, and seek business in professional associations and Centers of Influence. Develop Centers of Influence as key sources for business referrals. As experts in Business Banking, the Advisor Trainee will support with complex negotiations for new prospect and existing customers. Continuously focused on developing new business relationships while making referrals to other banking units (Mortgage, Auto, OFS, Insurance, Branches). Oversees Cash management, POS, PayNet Plus and other specialized products installation, and onboarding for new customers. Ensure process and information requirements compliance according to bank policies and regulatory agencies. Comply with EDD, CRR, Customers Handshake process, among others. Assure accurate and timely responses to all customer inquiries. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with major in Finance or Accounting preferred. At least three (3) years of experience in Retail sales and customer service skills. Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge of skills and abilities. Knowledge of processing and operating rules and all related banking regulations Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, detailed oriented and able to multitask, while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
