Overview
As the Platform Project Team Lead, you will be responsible for soliciting, organizing, prioritizing, delivering, and socializing all strategic and tactical platform projects. This position requires a deep understanding of the platform and its current capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with Product team members and other department leaders throughout the organization. You must be able to manage a growing team of Platform Product Managers who are involved in very distinct and often long or complex projects as well as owning strategic and tactical platform projects.
Starting base pay for this role is between $146,000 and $185,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities
- Manages a team of Platform Product Managers, ensuring consistency of practice in collaboration with the Director of Platform Strategy
- Establishes strong working relationship with department leaders to optimize how these platform projects are solicited and socialized; particularly with the following departments: Information Security, IT Operations, Data, and Development.
- Leads large scale projects and initiatives within the platform as needed alongside PPM team members.
- Optimizes the process for collecting, organizing, prioritizing, and assigning the work for the Platform Product Managers.
- Optimizes the mechanism for socializing the status of these platform projects to all stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership team.
- Promotes collaboration with market strategy to ensure consistency and efficiency across the platform, and to avoid narrow, siloed thinking.
- Ensures successful and on-time delivery of the assigned platform projects by each of the Platform Product Managers.
- Establishes a method for measuring the success of these projects, and ensures those expectations are met after delivery.
- Mentors, trains, and champions team members to achieve success as in their career development, as outlined in their Job Description.
- Responsible for daily performance management of team members. Completes team member performance evaluations and manages the performance review and compensation process.
- Champions and models Origami Risk’s values (Prioritize Clients’ Trust and Success, Innovate with an Entrepreneurial Spirit, Collaborate and Win as a Team).
- Optimizes team efficiency by first exploiting bottlenecks in the process and then filling resource gaps where necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years’ experience working with software organizations to improve their product/services.
- 3 years' direct people management experience
- 3 years’ experience in Product Management in a SaaS organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
- Knowledge of technical topics such as Web Services, APIs, data transfer, etc.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
