What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tender Desk Manager position at Orion Solutions Group?
Orion Solutions is working with a global provider of end-to-end supply chain and logistics solutions. Our Client designs solutions to meet the unique needs of businesses and eCommerce entrepreneurs. We are seeking a Tender Desk Manager to lead efforts in developing policies and procedures for the creation and development of large bids and RFQ’s.
- Manage large RFQ’s.
- Develop and refine pricing exercises (Air/Ocean).
- Respond and assist on RFI/RFQ’s.
- Maintain pricing database.
- Collaborate with sales and procurement to negotiate rates/quotes.
- Oversee the acceptance of tenders, compliance, and reporting.
- Create bid templates and deliver professional-quality RFP proposals.
- Manage and prioritize deadlines and deliverables amongst competing requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid/tender/RFQ/RFI management within the Freight Forwarding/Logistics Industry.
- Understanding of EDI/API functionality.
- Understanding of Ocean/Air Carrier Procurement negotiations.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
