In This Role, You’ll Get To
- Provide management and oversight of all Orion Wealth Management client account trading
- Act as the firm's liaison with industry & regulatory organizations related to trading
- Seek, identify, and implement opportunities to amend processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and quality of service
- Regularly assess Orion’s trading risks and implements changes in process or controls to reduce risk
- Monitor and maintain tracking and invoicing records/reports to meet both internal and external (e.g. SSAE16 regulatory) Service Level Agreement contract requirements
- Monitor and maintain Orion Key Performance Indicator (KPI) records/reports
- Monitor, track, and report on SSAE16 processes and service standards for auditing purposes within Trading Manager teams to maximize service quality and efficiency
- Act as an escalation point for complex problems
- Direct three unique trading teams as well as an operational support team
- Manage employees within the department including but not limited to hiring, training, and developing employees, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, salary recommendations, coaching and counseling, and administering corrective actions.
- Work with many stakeholders on the implementation of new ideas, products, and procedures.
- Work with Orion Technology teams for prioritization of new development
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with employees on a regular basis.
- Manage custodial relationships across all Wealth Management trading teams
- Possesses a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field
- Has a Series 65 license, or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment
- Has a minimum of 10 years of financial services trading experience is required and 5 years of management/leadership experience
- Obtains Orion Industry Certification
- Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization
