Retail Shipping Specialist

Pollock Orora is seeking an experienced Retail Shipping Specialist with a focus on the Retail Business in a warehouse / office environment to be responsible for the day-to-day shipping activities and provide exceptional support to our customers / clients both internally and externally.

Coordinate and assist in operations and processing of the shipping office. Assists Management in initiating, recommending, and providing solutions for overall efficiency in our Shipping Processes.

Summary of Role and How You’ll Fit In

The Retail Shipping Specialist directs and coordinates all activities concerned with retail operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

This position reports to the : Operations Manager

Travel Requirement : % of Travel Required / Frequency : up to 5 %

FLSA Status : Exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Creates Deliveries according to Shipping Schedules and release emails from Customer Service.
• Manages Shipping Mailboxes.
• Frequently reviews shipping schedules and orders with Customized Distribution Management and adjusts the priorities as required to ensure compliance to service expectations.
• Review the department’s KPI performance results versus goal.
• Runs and analyzes Reporting tools to help monitor progress and efficiencies in the warehouse.
• Runs and reviews daily shipping reports that track and communicate timeliness and completion of shipments.
• Attend daily production meetings for updates and communications.
• Determines efficient routing and ensures deliveries are routed correctly.
• Performs other duties and / or responsibilities as assigned.
• Holiday Season demand will increase workload from October through December. Additional hours may be required.
• Run scheduled and ad-hoc reporting on a regular basis.
• Complies with the Safety procedures and requirement of PPE, facilitation of safety meetings, safety audits, injury investigations, and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Assist with Creation of Wave Picks as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in a fast-paced Distribution Warehouse and Customer Service environment

Additional Required Qualifications :

• Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Must have good follow up skills.
• Ability to handle an environment that consists of flexibility and the need to constantly re-prioritize and multi-task.
