What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Artist - Remote position at ORS Nasco?
Primary Purpose
This role is responsible for ensuring effective execution of Marketing Solutions for ORS Nasco and our customer’s print and digital production. This role produces advanced graphic design artwork and industry/customer facing copy to support advertising, sales, promotional, and all communications efforts. Responsibilities also include meeting company needs utilizing current graphic design technology and computer software packages.
Major Responsibilities
- Creates and produces advertisements, sales promotions, and public relations material for visual communications media.
- Originates design, art, and copy layouts.
- Writes copy for social media, print, and digital assets.
- Determines style, size, and arrangement of type and illustrations.
- Provides instructions or directly assembles and prepares final layouts for printer.
- Completes assignments within established time schedules and in accordance quality standards.
- Works under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are varied but standardized and selects from a variety of established procedures.
- Applies fundamental and advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to area of specialization.
- Resolves routine questions and problems, referring the more complex issues to higher levels.
- Understands and demonstrates ORS Nasco’s Core Values.
- Acts a lead designer and project manager on standardized projects as part of a rotating “Lead” responsibility.
- Communicates with customers in a professional and timely manner to respond to production and design questions, issue deliverables for review/proof and approval, and as a customer touch point thought the production process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in customer/industry facing copywriting and content development
- Knowledge of proofing, preflighting, preparing, and press checking files
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient follow-through and follow-up skills
- Highly motivated with organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, In-Design, and Illustrator, and other related software
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage assigned responsibilities independently and execute effectively within a team
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable experience
- Minimum 2 years related work experience

Salary : $43,900 - $55,500
