The Manager, Commercial Analytics will be responsible for partnering with the Marketing & Sales teams within Bausch’s Salix Business Unit to provide the teams with data driven business insights, reporting, and analytical projects to drive business performance. This role will collaborate across multiple functions within Commercial Operations and Market Access to leverage data and analytics to drive strategic and executional excellence across the Salix portfolio of brands. A premium will be placed on communication, strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical ability. This role will reside within the Commercial Insights & Analytics function and partner closely with Call Planning, Incentive Compensation, Market Research, Forecasting, Market Access, and Information Management. This role will have high visibility to Senior Management and Brand & Sales Directors within the Salix business unit. This role reports to the Director, Commercial Analytics and will manage 1-3 contracted resources (onsite & offshore) to support day to day activities.
This is ahybridrole with three days in office in our Bridgewater, NJ HQ.
Responsibilities:
- Immersion in the strategic and tactical plans of the Salix brands to proactively support performance measurement and ad-hoc needs.
- Serve as a strategic partner for the Salix business in driving common processes and practices for measurement and evaluation of Commercial performance.
- Develop strong working relationships with Salix marketing leads and establish regular performance reviews to measure the performance across key metrics related to sales demand, competition, field execution, marketing initiatives, etc.
- Support Brand Directors in measuring execution and success of marketing tactics
- Proactively develop insights related to competitive market conditions, promotion, market access and identify areas of opportunity for growth.
- Connect the dots across Sales & Marketing, Sales Planning, Forecasting & Analytics to drive a common story on performance of Salix brands and execution of tactics.
- Leverage data and analytics to support the Long Range Strategic planning efforts of Salix
- Co-develop quarterly business review presentation through the appropriate use of data and analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree in business-related discipline preferred
- 5 years of experience working on analytical projects
- 2 years Pharmaceutical industry experience in Commercial
- Experience in supporting and interacting closely with Senior Management
- Extensive knowledge of various industry data sources such as: IMS Rx data (xPonent, xPonent Plantrak, DDD, HCOS, and Patient Level data)
- Proficiency in SAS, Python, R, SQL, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, or other analytical reporting tools
