General Statement of Duties:
The Inventory Control Clerk II is responsible to receive, store, inventory and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stock. The position maintains inventory, purchasing, and receiving storeroom products and stocks nursing units with medical supplies. The Clerk receives and delivers products to various departments. This position is responsible for more advanced functions and processes such as training new department personnel.
Essential Duties:

Organizes receiving and storeroom operations. Assures timely and accurate distribution of supplies and proper storage of stock to appropriate departments.
- Distributes items to proper department and persons after matching items on purchase orders to packing slip. Reports any discrepancies to the proper person or persons.
- Uses handheld devices to monitor inventories for OrthoIndy Hospital, involving patient floor, anesthesia, surgery, pre-op, and post-op as well as other areas of the building.
- Prepares, reviews, and tracks purchase orders through the purchasing process.
- Enters all tissue into Tracs4Life for tracking purposes as needed.
- Handles shipping return products back for credits.
- Responsible for building and adjusting surgeon sheds.
- Assists in finding substitute product when product unavailable, contacting representatives and distributors.
- Completes assigned product expiration sweeps.
- Cycle counts inventory to assure product availability.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2-4 years of related experience required
