Medical Billing and Collections Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Post claims and reports necessary for the collection of monies due from insurance carriers.

- Accurately code claims with the appropriate CPT, ICD.10 and referral authorization codes

- Monitor posted claims to ensure proper acceptance and payment by carriers.

- Contact patients for balances due. Collect funds, set up payment plans, interact with collection agencies.

Requirements:

- High School Graduate with courses in math, bookkeeping, typing.

- Previous training and/or employment in medical billing setting.

- Knowledge of medical terminology.

- Possess verbal ability to discuss financial matters with patients.

- EPIC experience helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
