Job Posting for Healthcare Financial Analyst at Orthopaedic Center of South Florida
The position works closely with the CEO. The Analyst will apply principles of accounting and statistical and operational analysis in order to maintain overall fiscal success including, but not limited to, variance analysis, preparing journal entries, report generation and manipulation, budgeting and costing. The position's main purpose is to provide decision support.
Responsibilities of the job
The position works closely with the CEO, and Physician Leadership on productivity, variance reporting, financial analysis, performance improvement and benchmarking.
Reports budget variances, both positive and negative, to CEO and documents resolution.
Assists in the facilitation of month end and year end closing. Develops and implements special projects as needed.
Assist in forecast preparation, budgeting, and variance analysis
Learns & understands healthcare industry value transformation to continuously tie it back to OCSF and successfully incorporates into daily work functions.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a relevant field; relevant graduate degree desirable.
At least 3 years' experience in a finance/ accounting role. (Medicaid, managed care contracting, payer analytics, strategic planning, business development, financial analysis, forecasting, and data modeling highly preferred)
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of all payer healthcare reimbursement methodologies
Advanced Excel modeling, formulas, and automation skills
