SUMMARY:
Strong Clinical and EMR experience using Athena Health. Assisting with any IT related clinical issues. Floating in all clinics to help as needed. Performing all back-office duties. Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information, maintain professional appearance and conduct.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist medical assistants and physicians with any IT related EMR issues in clinic.
  • Research or reach out to Athena support or IT department for any issues when assistance is needed.
  • Relay any information to clinic regarding new releases or updates to the ERH system.
  • Run reports, improve efficiencies with EHR system when needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Adhere to OSHA Standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information.

PRN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Physician in clinic with minor procedures.
  • Perform all back office duties, including rooming and taking patient histories. Applying and removing dressings, sutures, and staples.
  • Applying cast, splints and DME.
  • Preparing patients for surgery and post-operative care.
  • Ordering test, DME and Injections.
  • Scheduling surgeries.
  • Charting and phone triage.
  • Maintain work area and exam rooms.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Computer skills required: Strong computer knowledge and strong EMR experience in Athena Health system.
  • Strong Clinical experience required.
  • Prior Orthopedic experience or training preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of clinical IT related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Other skills helpful but not required: casting, splinting and brace knowledge.
