SUMMARY:
Strong Clinical and EMR experience using Athena Health. Assisting with any IT related clinical issues. Floating in all clinics to help as needed. Performing all back-office duties. Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information, maintain professional appearance and conduct.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist medical assistants and physicians with any IT related EMR issues in clinic.
- Research or reach out to Athena support or IT department for any issues when assistance is needed.
- Relay any information to clinic regarding new releases or updates to the ERH system.
- Run reports, improve efficiencies with EHR system when needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
- Adhere to OSHA Standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information.
PRN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Physician in clinic with minor procedures.
- Perform all back office duties, including rooming and taking patient histories. Applying and removing dressings, sutures, and staples.
- Applying cast, splints and DME.
- Preparing patients for surgery and post-operative care.
- Ordering test, DME and Injections.
- Scheduling surgeries.
- Charting and phone triage.
- Maintain work area and exam rooms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer skills required: Strong computer knowledge and strong EMR experience in Athena Health system.
- Strong Clinical experience required.
- Prior Orthopedic experience or training preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of clinical IT related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Other skills helpful but not required: casting, splinting and brace knowledge.
