SUMMARY:
The DME Specialist is responsible for the durable medical equipment department which includes selecting and/or fitting of equipment. This position is also responsible for testing and maintaining the equipment to ensure proper functionality. The DME Specialist will conduct training on the use of equipment as well as maintain stock of medical equipment and order medical office supplies
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

Creates Orders to be approved

Maintains spreadsheets
-
Conducts DME pre-certs
-
Oversees office inventory
-
Ordering of supplies
-
Ordering of Epi Pens
-
Discusses issues with patients concerning DME items
Preferred Education and Experience:
-
Ortho Tech certification
-
Health care industry experience
-
Athletic training experience
-
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility.
