SUMMARY:
The Ortho Tech position is responsible for the durable medical equipment (DME) which includes selecting and/or fitting of equipment. This position is also responsible for testing and maintaining the equipment to ensure proper functionality. The Ortho Tech will conduct training on the use of equipment as well as maintain stock of medical equipment and order medical office supplies
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for notifying management of issues/concerns immediately
- Recommends ideas for change to management to improve work flow process
- Maintain and follows strict confidentiality guidelines
- May be assigned projects as business needs arise to follow through to completion
- Places braces on patient
- Ensures proper bracing wear and care
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
- Creates Orders to be approved
- Maintains spreadsheets
- Conducts DME pre-certs
- Oversees office inventory
- Ordering of supplies
- Fills in for DME coverage as business needs arise, may include reporting to other locations
