JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the VP of Revenue Cycle Management and in collaboration with Billing and Training Management, the Revenue Cycle Manager provides support and assistance to management, staff, and the Revenue Cycle team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Responsible for maintaining RCM Metrics
· Oversees process of payment posting
· Maintaining and analyzing problematic accounts
· Manage payments collections process
· Assist internal staff with issues and questions
· Training of new hires and update training for existing staff
· Work with management to identify trends and troubleshoot/problem solve for working solutions.
· AR Follow up and special AR Projects
· Participate in other related duties as required
· Some off hour and weekend work, as well as travel to any of our locations may be needed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:
· Medical coding and billing knowledge preferred. ASC experience preferred, and Orthopaedic experience helpful.
· Proven ability to manage, lead, mentor, and motivate small team(s).
EDUCATION:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· College coursework helpful
EXPERIENCE:
· Two years of healthcare billing and collections/financial experience required. (four-year degree may substitute)
· Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and Federal/managed care rules and regulations preferred.
SKILLS:
· Associate must be comfortable discussing and collecting money and discussing financial plans with patients/payors in a professional manner.
· Excellent customer services skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Ability to multi-task, manage details and organize efficiently and effectively.
· Proven ability to offer high level problem-solving skills
