Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; preferred Associate’s degree in Emergency Management and/or Certifications in National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS100, 1S200, IS700, IS800
- -OR- at least four (4) years’ experience in public safety, emergency management or a disaster relief organization AND certifications in Nation Incident Management System (NIMS) IS100, IS200, IS700, IS800
- Professional Emergency Management (P.E.M) certification, NIMS ICS300 and ICS400 certification preferred
- Knowledge of emergency management and homeland security principles and procedures
- Ability to research and write reports and procedures
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving skills
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Excel programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Ability to train in emergency techniques and procedures
- Ability to operate computers and related software
- Ability to communicate effectively with public officials and the general public

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices and payables to be paid in accordance with the policies of the Osage Nation Accounting Department
- File and Organize documents related to Emergency Management and Wildland Fire Management
- Assist with scheduling training classes and building inspections performed by the Emergency Management Program
- Assist with health fairs and other planned activities within the Emergency Management Program
- Assist in finding and applying for grants that are relevant to the program
- Must have a knowledge and understanding of budgets and be able to complete them in a timely fashion
- Will on occasion, be asked to assume the duties of the Osage Nation Police Department Administrative Assistant, during their absence
- Familiarity of Osage language and culture
