This position will be responsible for researching grant opportunities and matching them with existing Osage Nation programs/projects according to the strategic plan and goals set forth by the Principal Chief. The Grants Management Specialist (GMS) will collaborate with Osage Nation stakeholders to develop proposal packages and submit them on-time. This person will be involved in performing grant/cooperative agreement pre-award functions such as planning with stakeholders, reviewing funding opportunity announcements, proposal development, preparing pre-award and award documents, and assisting in the workflow process enhancements and evaluation.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree with an emphasis in business administration, finance, English, technical communication, human services, organizational leadership, communications, or equivalent experience in a relevant field; Bachelor’s preferred
- One year of grants management proposal writing preferred
- Must be willing to work toward or have already obtained a CGMS
- Proposal Management experience a plus
- Requires mid-level skills in planning and developing grant budgets
- Moderate knowledge of various grant web portals such as System for Award Management, and grants.gov
- Familiarization of OMB circulars and Public Law 638 (multi-year funding agreements with tribal governments)
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires high level problem-solving solving skills
- Requires the concepts of project management
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Requires firm skills in the use Microsoft Office Suite programs. Microsoft Project preferred but not required. Excel proficiency a plus.
- Requires excellent interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift on a daily basis
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
Salary : $43,100 - $54,500
