Purpose
The IT Support Specialist at Oscar Wilson is tasked with the crucial responsibility of ensuring the company's operational continuity. This role involves comprehensive IT support, including the maintenance of computing and printing equipment, software administration, database oversight, and efficient EDI flow setup and management. The primary focus is on preventing and swiftly resolving any issues that could disrupt the normal operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance and troubleshooting of computing and printing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Provide prompt and effective software administration and user support to resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Manage the database to ensure data accuracy, security, and optimal performance, supporting the company’s operational needs.
- Setup and manage EDI flows to facilitate smooth and efficient business operations.
- Develop tools and aids to improve operational efficiency and support the IT needs of internal teams, ensuring that the company remains operational under various circumstances.
- Act as a primary contact for IT support within the company, prioritizing and efficiently managing support tickets to address and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong background in systems and network management.
- Expertise in database management, software administration, and EDI flow setup.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and address IT issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively supporting internal teams and managing user expectations.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to maintain company operations.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Educational and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals are highly desirable.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support or a closely related technical role. Hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, network management, and IT systems support is essential.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Proficient in database management, including setup, maintenance, and optimization.
- Knowledgeable in network infrastructure, including setup, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and workflows.
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain IT solutions and aids to enhance operational efficiency.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
