We are looking for a dynamic Junior- Data Scientist who is proficient with Background that covers multiple aspects of data science including mathematics, statistics, engineering, design of experiments, multi-platform coding including cloud platforms, and machine learning. Degrees from more than one area preferred. You will ensure that the platform is robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
Requirements:
Skills & Responsibilities (Must Have)
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in building, training and deploying end-to-end ML and statistical models in production environments.
- Experience in advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: XGBoost, Random Forest, regression, simulation, scenario analysis, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Expert knowledge of code development in a Big Data environment including, but not limited to, Python, PySpark, SQL, Java, Scala, R, C
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to design and perform A/B tests and gain actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure Databricks (including Spark cluster, PySpark coding, and MLflow), AWS (including both traditional EC2 and serverless Lambda), micro-services architecture, CI/CD solutions (including Docker).
- Solid foundation and understanding of relational and NoSQL database principles.
- Experience in deploying large-scale models to production, knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
- Ability to build relations with managers and directors from IT and business units and manage long-term projects.
- Experience in the full life cycle development of enterprise projects, within an Agile environment.
- Strong interest in developing a deep understanding of the retail domain, including business processes, and the mentality of the consumers and the store operators. Experience in the Retail industry is a plus.
Nice to have Skills.
- Ability to work with data visualization tool like PowerBI/Tableau will be nice to have.
- Understanding of REST API & Postgresql is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills
- 5-7 years development experience
- 5 years of Python, PySpark experience.
